The island of Koločep (Italian: Calamotta ) is one of the three inhabited Elaphiti Islands situated near the city of Dubrovnik. Kolocep is the southernmost inhabited island in Croatia.
The port of Dubrovnik, (“Gruz”) is situated at the base of a bay on the other side of Lapad, requiring a 5 km journey by boat to the island. The island can be reached by regular driving ferries “Jadrolinija” – the “Postira” and “Premuda” services connect the Elafiti Islands several times throughout the day. It is a 20 minute boat ride from one port to the other (Dubrovnik–Kolocep) by ferry, or 10 minutes by water-taxi.
Kolocep has more than 250 sunny days a year. Its climate is of a moderate Mediterranean type, and due to the isle's indented coastline and small area, the predominant climatic features throughout the island are influenced by the Adriatic. The sea moderates the air temperature considerably keeping the average monthly daytime highs above 10 °C in the winter time and below 27 °C in the summer.

Clear waters surrounding the island range from deep blue to turquoise aqua. The coastline has with a number of hidden coves: the Blue Cave can be accessed swimming from one such cove on the south side of the island. An area off shore where lobsters abound is another one of Kolocep's features.

The islands flora includes stands of tall pine and olive groves.

Villa Kolocer are situated on the Island Kolocep which can be reach by ferry from Gruz port in Dubrovnik. The whole property consists of 8 villas which are mostly situated on a sandy beach in Donje Celo bay. There are 151 beds in the villas all together. Reception and the restaurant are in a separate building next to villas.
In front of the reception is a swimming pool. The restaurant is separated into an indoor and outdoor section with a large terrace and seaview. Another two old villas are also a part of the complex . In one of them is a al carte restaurant and another one can be rented for special occasions. Kolocep is a well know place for lots of seminars and conferences . THERE ARE NO CARS ALLOWED ON THE ISLAND. Guest can leave a car in Trsteno parking place reserved for Kolocep guests.
The villas are surrounded by gardens and little pathways and they are near the beach.
